About the Artist: Garrett Seal

Garrett Seal is a native of Stone County and a graduate of MGCCC. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting from Mississippi State University, followed by a Master of Divinity from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He currently serves as Minister of Students at First Baptist Church in Wiggins, Mississippi.

“I am a representational artist, primarily inspired by scenes from everyday life—especially landscapes and places. I work in oil, acrylic, and watercolor, using both photographic references and painting on location in the en plein air tradition. I’m drawn to capturing the interplay of light and shadow, aiming to bring each scene to life. My goal is to reflect the moment as I experience and see it.”
