Scott and Jane Ann invite you to visit them at Southern Turnings and the Coffee Shop. You will enjoy a warm, homelike atmosphere in a beautiful old restored building on Pine Hill. The brick walls are adorned with original works of art from talented local artists. The store also features exquisite local pottery and gifts for the home and kitchen. Whether you need a place to relax, visit with friends or conduct a business meeting, you are always welcome at Southern Turnings. They have a tempting menu of specialty coffee drinks, gourmet teas, cheesecakes, locally made muffins, scones and cinnamon rolls. There is always plenty of Blue Bell Ice Cream, too.
At any given time, you might catch Scott lathe-turning beautiful wooden bowls in his woodshop and Jane Ann extending Southern hospitality to her customers.
Scott began turning in 2012 and opened Southern Turnings as a sole proprietor in 2014. Since then, he has established himself as a talented woodturner. His bowls are highly sought after for their unique characteristics, figure and the stories behind the wood.
In January 2017, Jane Ann joined Scott in this venture and together, they formed Southern Turnings LLC with the intent of opening a brick and mortar building in their hometown of Wiggins.
In late October 2017, Scott and Jane Ann opened their woodturning studio, coffee shop and gift store on historic Pine Hill in downtown Wiggins, Mississippi. Wiggins is located between the Mississippi Gulf Coast and Hattiesburg. If you find yourself in the Wiggins area, please stop in and say hello. You will thoroughly enjoy your shopping experience as well as a delicious gourmet coffee, smoothie or milkshake and/or one of their gourmet desserts.
